So the other day I've heard some stuff on the local radio station that made me laugh...maniacally to say the least. Apparently the Seattle School Board has announced their involvement in the country's new program called High School On The Web. This program allows kids to take high school classes on the web, without leaving their house and obtain a diploma. Yeah that's great...home schooling is bad enough, but now they are actually reinforcing the idea of not educating our kids simple things like daily responsibility. Awesome. Now Little Johny can become a total waste of sperm and sit in front of the computer, rather than gain common knowledge of "being out in the real world" and disciplining himself to be dedicated to working hard and being somewhere every day on time. Who needs that ? Not us !!! And with all this people keep wondering how come the new generation is filled with idiots, criminals and cretins, maybe it's time to take a look at those parenting books ? Yes I understand that some parents frankly don't want their kids to go to public schools, but letting them take online classes is just ridiculous. WHy is it that we always try to make everything easier ? Easier doesn't always mean better - this being the perfect example. I think going to a public school is the first step on the path to being a grown up individual, yes you may get stabbed, be introduced to drugs or be required to take a bus with some kid that drools on himself, but that only strengthens your character ! What will happen when one day you wake up and realize you have to be somewhere every morning at 6:00AM and be yelled at by a guy who's name very well might be "Lumberg" ? There arent any online classes for that. I wonder if there is an educational requirement for being on the school board committee !? Doesn't seem like it... Another stupid thing I've noticed around Seattle is the new "Tip Centers" set up by the Seattle Police Department, now you can actually TEXT a crime tip to a local 6 digit number with your annonymous crime tip. This begs the question - how many pissed off crack heads are going to be texting the police department because they got screwed by their dealer or he simply told them to screw off ? This seems like more of a waste of tax dollars rather than a good idea. This new line might as well be called "Snitch Central Spam Box", because I'm sure it's already over filled with the most random tweaked out messages any of us have ever seen.

Gas Prices Are Rocking... |
 If you drive a car like most of us do, then it's really nothing new to talk about sky rocketing gas prices ! What will happen and how will people deal with the evergrowing prices of gasoline ?
I was taking a break the other day and started reading an article concerning our presidential nominees and their plans concerning high gas prices. It was sad to see that proposed gas holidays offered by the likes of Hillary CLinton and John McCain are really nothing but a scam, these holidays will let peopleget gas cheaper than usual, but everyone will get taxed at a higher rate simply to compensate for the lost revenue. Now this might fly if you are a complete and totally uneducated boob, but for the most of us that doesn't seem like a very good trade off.
Those of us trying to perhaps trade in our gas guzzling vehicles for smaller compact hubrid cars there is yet another problem, a lot of dealerships across the country now have a waiting list which can set you back as far as two months ! Now you are not at risk of waiting that long if you're trading one hybrid for another but if your car runs on purified crude "juice" you my friend are totally screwed. Not only that those same dealerships are now deducting a steady amount off the price of your trade thanks to current gas prices and the stability of oil. Seems fair ? I don't think so, but then again I own 3 gasoline cars ( thank god no diesel ! ) so I'm screwed like a triple stacker at BK.
So far senator Obama was the only one to call McCain and Clinton's idea a complete and utter scam, for which I am very greateful, but the reality is gas prices will NOT go down. If they are reduced, the state taz is most liky going to go up thus compensating for the reduced price and vice-a-versa. The only reality is for it to be locked at a certain point to stabilize the market and avoid the frustration...question is what next ?
In Seattle current gas prices range between 4.17 a gallon and 4.45 a gallon depending on the neighborhood ( yes ritzy places are charging more - I thought there was a law against gouging ? ). The new fad around the Pacific NorthWest however is "biodiesel", thanks to hippies and granolas and their stinky BMW's and Volvo's we are now a cleaner state with lower emmisions ! But how much is a gallon of biodiesel ? Try 4.95 a gallon at local BP stations. Purified McDonalds grease ? Really ? I wonder what is the going per barrel cost of that on Wall Street...
Now if you are just like me and you "bend over for the man" while a big black gasoline hose is inserted into the sacred orifice of your enormous gas tank you don't talk back, because you can't and nobody cares, you simple take it smile and pay the piper.
