Terms and Conditions

Eligibility

1. To be considered for this Tournament you must submit a complete application via the provided form no later than May 6, 2008.

2. Your application must state current and past Urban Terror clan affiliations and any name or names used within those clans.

3. Current and past |ALPHA| clan members are not eligible.

4. Persons presently banned on any |ALPHA| server are not eligible.

5. You must have a valid and active Pay Pal account to be eligible for the Tournament prize.

6. You must register on our site to fill out the form for entry.

Registration

1. You must register from the computer and location from which you intend to compete. All IP addresses, origin networks and ISPs will be recorded and tracked.

2. You must register with the Player Name you intend to use in the Tournament. Your Player Name must not contain any clan designation. In the event of multiple entries with the same Player Name, |ALPHA| administration will rule who may use a particular Player Name and require other applicants to choose an alternative. This ruling will be based in part on known names and associated IP addresses. All decisions are final.

Competition

1. The game is Urban Terror 4.1 (is there any other?). The game type is Free For All (FFA).

2. Prize will be awarded to the player with the highest total number of kills. In the rare event of a tie, a tie breaker will be enacted. In the event that the winner does not have a valid and active Pay Pal account at the time the winner is announced, the prize will be immediately awarded to the next highest-scoring competitor with a valid and active Pay Pal account. There will be no appeal for this process.

3. Three |ALPHA| servers (one 16-slot, one 22-slot and one 32-slot) will be dedicated to this Tournament from 12 AM EDT Saturday, May 10, 2008 until 12 AM EDT Monday, May 12, 2008, each with a Tournament-only VSP stat-tracking database. No casual play will be allowed on these servers for the duration of the competition.

4. Each player will be assigned to a designated server after being approved by |ALPHA|Clan and will be notified via the provided e-mail with the server information.

5. You must play on the server to which you are assigned. Kills accrued on a competition server to which you are not assigned will not count towards your total. Any competitor found playing on a cometition server other than the one to which they have been assigned may be warned once by |ALPHA| administration and directed to their designated server. Failure to comply with such direction will result in disqualification.

6. You must play using the Player Name you chose when you registered or which was otherwise assigned to you by |ALPHA| administration. Kills accrued under any other name will not count towards your total.

7. You must not utilize any cheats or modified game content. Any player caught cheating or using modified game content will be immediately disqualified, banned by IP address from all |ALPHA| servers and may be subject to legal action.

8. To ensure fairness, only |ALPHA| administrators will be allowed as spectators. All players in all Tournament matches may be recorded for review, demonstration and promotional use by |ALPHA| Clan.

9. In-game chat will be allowed – joking, ribbing and good-natured taunting are encouraged. We ask only that you keep it civil and remember, this is only a game. Any player caught using vulgar insults directed at another player, racial slurs of any kind, or making real-life threats will be immediately disqualified, banned by IP address from all |ALPHA| servers and may be subject to legal action. Server logs will also be processed at the close of the competition and punitive action will be retro active.

|ALPHA| clan reserves the right to change any and all procedures and rules set forth in this document, and any and all rules and procedures enforced on |ALPHA| clan servers, at any time without prior notification. By agreeing to these Terms and Conditions you assent to hold blameless and harmless |ALPHA| clan, its particular members, and any and all affiliates, for any damage or loss perceived to be a result of your participation in this Tournament. Content produced by recording your in-game participation (otherwise known as a “game demo”) during this Tournament may be used by |ALPHA| clan at its discretion and without prior notification.
